Can someone track my WhatsApp

Can someone track my WhatsApp

As one of the most widely used instant messaging platforms in the world, WhatsApp boasts over 2 billion users.

by ensuring that user privacy is respected, there is still something to be afraid of with the emergence of applications such as GB WhatsApp, and, more than ever, privacy seems to be at risk.

So how do you know if your privacy is being violated? Or if you are being spied on, and therefore monitored via a tracker? The answer, while it's a big blow to many users, is that you can't. At least for now.

However, don't give up hope yet, there are a few signs that someone is watching you, tracking you on WhatsApp.

The person who would follow you is constantly online when you are online too.

The person sends you a message as soon as you go online.

The person systematically notices and comments on changes to your status updates.

The person systematically notices and comments on changes in your profile picture.

The check mark sign immediately turns blue after you send a message to that person.

The person is the first to appear on the “people who viewed my status” list on status updates.

Having said that, you might need to know how to strictly observe the tips mentioned above to be able to strengthen your privacy.

While it seems impossible to determine who has viewed your profile picture, what is possible is that you may be able to see who has viewed your WhatsApp status and you can control who can contact you on WhatsApp.

At least that should count for something.

1. HOW TO SEE WHO HAS SEEN YOUR WHATSAPP STATUS

Seeing who has viewed your WhatsApp status is definitely an easy task. This can be easily done by simply viewing your acknowledgments.

Go to your “Settings” tab -> “Account” -> “Privacy”

Go to the bottom of the page and click on “Read Receipts”.

After turning on "Read Receipts", you and the other person who turned on read receipts will be able to view each other's WhatsApp Story.

This can be handy if you are worried about a stalker because if the other person has their read receipts turned on, you can see how many times they're viewing your Story.
If you turn off read receipts, your read receipts will not be sent. You also won't be able to see read receipts from other users.

And read receipts are always sent for group chats, even if you deselect the option in your privacy settings.

2. HOW TO CHECK WHO CAN CONTACT YOU ON WHATSAPP

The basic way to control who can contact you on WhatsApp is to keep your phone number private.

If someone you do not want to contact you obtains your phone number in some way, you can block them. It’s simple and works immediately.

In WhatsApp, tap “More options” (the 3 vertical dots) -> “Settings” -> “Account” -> “Privacy” -> “Blocked contacts”.

Tap “Add”.

Find or select the contact you want to block.

Here are two other ways to block a contact:

Open a chat with the contact, then tap “More options” -> “More” -> “Block” -> “BLOCK”.

Open a chat with the contact and tap the contact name -> “Block” -> “BLOCK”.

Messages, calls, and status updates sent by a blocked contact will not appear on your phone and will never be delivered to you.

Your "Seen At", "Online", status updates and any changes to your profile picture will no longer be visible to contacts you have blocked.

Blocking a contact will not remove them from your contact list or remove you from their contact list. To delete a contact, you must delete the contact directly from your phone's address book.
