Where is WhatsApp on my phone

How many users are using WhatsApp?
What is amazing is that this version for Android is so late to arrive because it is the most famous chat software in the world according to company data: more than a thousand million users since the month of February 2016. It is the most used in several countries like Spain, United Kingdom, Italy or Germany.

The figure attracts attention because the company was acquired by Facebook at an exorbitant price of 21,000 million dollars (divided into money and shares of the social network) which also has its Messenger, also installed in millions of smartphones. That is, Facebook controls a huge percentage of mobile communications all over the planet.

What's the point of using WhatsApp on a PC?
While it is very convenient to use WhatsApp on your smartphone, sometimes it is much easier to use the messaging service from your PC. Here are some concrete examples of use:

You would like to be able to send loooong texts to your loved ones and write on the touchscreen keyboard of the smartphone, it's really slow and less practical than with a real keyboard
You would like to send your vacation photos or other files stored on your PC to a few loved ones through WhatsApp
The battery of your battery is soon empty and you must absolutely connect it to the mains to avoid a dry outage
You don't want to get caught at work by your n + 1 playing around with your smartphone (shhht, I didn't tell you!)
It also happens that you find yourself isolated from your cell phone for one reason or another. Logging into WhatsApp on a computer makes perfect sense in this context. Likewise, since the screen of a computer is much larger than that of a smartphone, it is a wonderful experience to connect to WhatsApp via PC.

It's no longer a secret now. Facebook wants to make communications across its entire ecosystem (Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram) better . This is why the company is working on cross-messaging between all applications. More recently we learned that Instagram's messaging Direct was going to be rebuilt on Messenger technology. Always with the aim of simplifying discussions also sharing, Facebook facilitates the sharing of content to WhatsApp as reported by  Express.

Improved existing functionality

As the outlet noted, Facebook now displays an option to "send to WhatsApp." "A fairly handy feature when you want to send a video or an article to several people (if they are not on Messenger!) The idea being to make a shortcut to Facebook through the encrypted messaging application.

Sharing on WhatsApp is  available, but Facebook wants to make it “more and better  visible. In a statement, the company said, "We're making the app   easier for people to share the messages they want to discuss with their WhatsApp contacts."
